FAQ

Questions, Answered
What is Vellstrike?
A universe of two games sharing one shattered world, one account, and one launcher: The same twelve champions fight in both. Learn the world on The Twelve Shards, meet the roster on Champions, and see Shardfall's own page here.
What is Vellstrike: Shardfall?
The story before the arena. Up to four champions stand against the Witherline in deterministic lockstep co-op — every run is a draft of weapons and powers, every season a fresh leaderboard, and every patch tells another piece of what happened the night the sky fell. Patch notes, the champion roster, and the global leaderboard live on the Shardfall page.
How do I play?
Vellstrike is in invite-only playtesting. Getting in works like this: No invite yet? They go out in small waves as testing expands — keep an eye on the patch notes.
What are the system requirements?
Modest — the game is built to run well on ordinary hardware. Windows 10/11, a few GB of disk space, and any reasonably recent GPU. If you can browse the web comfortably, you can probably fight in the arena. (Formal specs come with the public build.)
Something broke. Where do I report it?
Use the Report a bug tab in the chat dock (bottom-right of every page once you're signed in, and in the launcher). Reports go straight to the team with your account attached, so we can follow up. Screenshots and "what I expected vs. what happened" make reports gold.
Will my stats and progress carry over?
Your account (name, friends, rewards) persists. Match stats during playtesting may be reset between major versions as systems change — if a wipe is coming, it will be announced in the patch notes first. Playtest rewards are ours to grant and yours to keep.
Is Vellstrike just one game?
Not anymore. The arena was the beginning; Shardfall is the second answer — and the launcher, the site, and your account are built as a home for everything the universe becomes next. Watch the roadmap.
How old do I have to be?
13 or older — accounts require a date of birth at sign-up. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian needs to review and agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on your behalf. Short version of our privacy stance: no ads, no trackers, no selling data — details in the policy.
Who is making this?
A very small team with a very large plan, building in the open — every change ships to the patch notes, and testers shape the game directly. If you're reading this early: welcome. You're part of it now.
